Research Interests

My research is in the area of Coastal Engineering, using a combination of numerical models and laboratory/field experiments to study hurricane and other coastal storm impacts including storm surge, morphodynamics, the influence of vegetation, hazard risk, and post-storm measurement by remote sensing.  My current research areas include:

  1. Influence of climate change on hurricane flooding and damages.
  2. Hurricane surge parameterization.
  3. Coastal storm flooding and damage risk.
  4. Wetlands impact on coastal hydrodynamics.
  5. Coastal morphodynamics.
